One of the biggest things that stood out to Bruce was Joyland’s GAF Master Elite status.
“What made me choose you guys was after I learned a little bit about roofing, was that you were Master Elite installers,” Bruce said. “And that’s made all the difference for the guarantees and warranties.”
That became especially important when Bruce compared Joyland’s quote to another roofing quote that came in lower.
“There was a fellow who was cheaper,” Bruce said, “but he wasn’t a Master Elite. So the warranties weren’t gonna be the same as with you guys.”
And that is where many homeowners need to slow down before choosing the lowest estimate.
A cheaper roof quote is not automatically a bad quote. But it should raise a few follow-up questions.
What warranty is included?
What products are being installed?
Who is doing the work?
What happens if there is a problem later?
Is the contractor qualified to offer stronger manufacturer-backed warranty options?
Bruce understood that price was only one part of the decision. The warranty protection mattered too.
A roof is not a small purchase. It is not a throw pillow, a garden hose, or a new toaster. It is the system protecting your home from wind, rain, snow, leaks, and everything else Pennsylvania weather throws at it when it is apparently feeling creative.
