What types of roofs can you replace?
After being in business for 30 years, there's hardly a roof material or style that we haven't done. While we do more asphalt shingle roofs than anything else, we do love the opportunity to work with specialty products like copper, slate, or cedar on some of the beautiful homes around Southeastern PA.
Here's the list of materials we're experts on:
- Asphalt Shingles
- Metal (Standing Seam and Corrugated)
- Flat Roofs (Rubber/EPDM and others)
- Cedar Shake
- Copper
- Slate
- Clay tiles
- Designer shingles
- Artificial slate and cedar (the looks and longevity at a better price than the real thing)
How long does it take to replace my roof?
Click to Watch VideoThat's a tough one, because it really depends on the size and complexity of the job.
But here is what we normally see for a shingle roof replacement:
Homes up to 2500 SF: 1 day
Homes 2500-4500 SF: 1-2 days
Large homes: 2-3 days
A few things affect these estimates:
One factor is the complexity of the roof. An example of this could be a single story ranch home that is two thousand square feet and does not have many penetrations like multiple pipes and chimneys, or things like angle changes and dormers. This kind of a house is typically something we can knock out in a day, easily. However, if it's a 2-story home with a very steep roof and a complex design, that timeline may stretch out to 3 days.
Weather can also play a role in delaying a project, since our crews cannot work in the rain. If rain occurs midway through your project we make sure your roof is leak-free, no matter the stage of the project. And in those cases, sometimes it means we gotta work in the rain .
