Cedar Shake Roof Restoration

This Willow Street home received a complete cedar shake roofing restoration across the main roof and the entry porch. The project began with a full tear off down to the existing purlins, followed by installation of 7/8 inch x 24 inch tapersawn premium grade cedar shingles with a 7.5 inch exposure. A triple layer starter course was installed for added thickness at the eaves, and all shingles were fastened with 2 inch stainless steel nails for longevity.

The new system also included ridge capping and freshly fabricated 16 oz. copper flashings around the chimney, matching the home’s original copper detailing. The porch roof was replaced using the same premium cedar shake material to ensure consistency across the exterior.
